Carol Smith Is Proudly Offering Faith-Based Counseling In MA Areas

With an M.S.W. from Boston University specializing in casework, and a graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago specializing in pastoral ministry, she currently holds a private practice working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are helping young adults move more smoothly into adulthood, mindfulness and contemplation practice, couples trying to discern the future of their relationship and individuals struggling with their mental health.

In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Carol has presented Spiritual Growth Groups and Retreats  to church congregations and is presently focusing her practice on faith-based counsel, spiritual direction to individuals and in group settings and pastoral guidance for couples and individuals looking for a faith-oriented practitioner.  She is also joyful to work with people seeking more peace and purpose in life and to further address life and mental health issues under the umbrella of a Spiritual approach.

Carol is interactive as well as contemplative in her approach to her client's goals.  She integrates complementary methodologies including some cognitive and some spiritual practices to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal goals they are committed to realize.  Many faith traditions are welcomed in this striving work even as this work, prayerfully, is encompassed in the love of God.

Education License, Certifications & Awards  Carol Smith is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts.  She holds a Master of Social Work from Boston University and a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.  She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ of the Massachuttes Conference.  She has been licensed in the State of Massachusttes as a Secondary Teacher of English.
